FJ40 woes. Sell/keep? What's it worth?

I'm no authority on older 40's, but that one looks like a South American import to me - no heater, cringe-worthy front turn signals, international-market air cleaner. That could also explain the butchered wiring. I hope not for your sake, but if so then the value is considerably less than a U.S. market one.

I don't believe it's an SA market truck. I can send the plate on the firewall if it helps. It has a heater. I don't have it plumbed in, but it's there. The air cleaner I bought from a Mud member when I bought this engine. Not sure if that helps at all.

Factory heater was not an option until some time in 1964. This one doesn't have defrost vents. Which means it early in 62 not later when Toyota added defrost vents for aftermarket heaters. It also doesn't have an ashtray which also was early. Good change it still has a centered diff in the rear axle. A stamped Land Cruiser bezel which this one has. The fact that it had its turn signal changed may be because the duel sided turn signals lens have been NLA for a long time amber lens faded and turn signals got replaced. Not uncommon for something other Toyota turn signals used as a replacement. The bib lights were clear originally. Toyota only used amber in 68/69 but those bib lights were available long time after the clear went NLA even though went from the FJ25 thru the 67 mode FJ40.
