Like I said before; I'd look through CL in the CA, AZ, NM, NV, ect states and pay for shipping. You can always reach out to a mud'er in that area who'd be glad to give you honest feedback.

I have been hiting CL almost daily. So far nothing that catches my eye. Right now my budget including shipping to N Ga is about 7k. If someone spots one throw me a link and I will check it out.

Did you see this one? I don't know the owner but I stumbled across it doing searches for "fj cruisers". Note that the owner listed it as an fj 40 - with a space between the fj and the 40. The space prevents my typical "fj40" search from picking it up and the ad doesn't say "land cruiser" or "landcruiser" at all...craigslist is all about the search words.

uncut fenders, hard top, disc brakes kit, etc. Doesn't look all that bad to me for the price assuming the rust isn't terrible.
