Hi All -
I have a somewhat perplexing problem. I just placed a 4-speed (H42) into my 1970 FJ40. I have the H42 bell housing and a 3-speed flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate. I also used the 3-speed throw-out bearing, clutch fork, and slave cylinder. Today, I started it up and tried 1st-4th gear. It shifted into 1st-4th gear fine, but did not move. When it is in neutral and I lift up on the clutch pedal, it actually starts to go in reverse. Also, it will not shift into reverse.
Any ideas on where to start looking? Really hoping it is not a transmission issue.
Thanks
