Pflugerville kin sweet..

Here is the link to the good 78 fj40 color wiring diagram, it's vector, so you can blow it up as big as you want... but this is still awesome...
it's for a 78, so there are a few differences but it's pretty handy

I think I have one i corrected to have the right colors for my 76, i'll dig around

I printed it out on normal 84 8.5*11 paper, so it was 11" tall, and like 6 or 7 sheets, wide, then cut off the edges and taped it together to make a color wiring diagram to put on my fridge in the garage...

If I were to do it all over, I might just take it to Kinkos/FedEx and get it printed ... but either way a big ass color wiring diagram has been a godsend, me being a 1 banana mechanic..

I also got a different color wiring diagram off amazon, it wasn't as big but it was organized differently, it was laid out like a wiring harness headlights at one end and tail lights at the the other, I don't use it as much as the one above, but occasionally it helps to get me oriented and figure out what I'm looking at...

This one is on the fridge right under the big one above...

Here is coolermans site, has the top wiring diagram, and an awesome set of photos of a wiring harness for a 76 pulled out and spread out, helps to identify connectors, and 2 different wiring diagrams for the 76, toyota and haynes

and last of all , here is an interactive wiring harness, where you can click to zoom in and out

The '70 40 I purchased had the original owners manual in the glove box. In the back of the manual was a wiring diagram which I carefully unfolded and had copied to new paper then laminated. The original is back in the manual and the laminated copy, enlarged of course, is a permanent part of my tool box.
