Yes, many hours reading and looking at pictures!This intrigues me. From my understanding the transmission behind the 2UZ should be same across the platform and the transfer cases are bespoke for each model so the transfer case from one should fit another. The only difference ive found so far is the spline count that I belive younwould have to change in the case to get to adapt to the transmission.
You've done the research so this is just info I need to store, ive considered building a 2002 4Runner with the drive drain out of a Sequoia to keep the ability to have 2wd but also the awd and center diff lock.
Toyota always surprises me.

There is a company that can eliminate the need for an immobilizer and certain emissions requirement out of the ECU but I can't find them now googling.
LexusV8 Engines, LLC is who I have been communicating with for my harness. They told me what I needed and I have most of the things now.
I am thinking of keeping the immobilizer since I have all the components to make it work!
