****SOLD*******Toyota LandCruiser FJ40 2 NEW NEWFIELDS 27 Spline
Located in Denver- Asking $125 each or both for $200 + $9 shipping (more to Canada, not sure $).
Inner Spline by the bearings is 27, outer shaft is 30.
These birfield replacements are brand new, but we purchased about 6 years. Never been installed into a truck. (Truth here- no Wenzeling!) We pooled our funds and had 8 sets made in our original order and we kept 2 to sell or as spares. Woody got two from the original order.
After putting in the Newfields on the truck, we never broke them so we have these two to sell. We have sold our 40 & now getting rid of the extra parts.
As you can see by the pictures, they are discolored from being in the open air without being in grease. A little cleaning and we have been able to remove some of it. The bearing areas looks great.
Original cost when we had the order fab’d was $208 each shipped.
******Made by CvUnlimited. Purchased through Stuckey Brothers Parts Company in Hemingway, SC, March of 2000. Our best guess is these are 1st Generation Newfields but not positive.*******
Here is some clarification from "the man that knows". He is one of the buyers in the original sets, a true Cruiser Head and awesome guy. "Pretty sure that they fit 68 to 81. The "Newfield Tack" is a must for some fits.
If they are tapped for a bolt in the stub... (Checking on the tap part)
They work on all but the 67 and older...
They are 2nd gen AFAIK
3rd gen softened up the innards to last longer.
I shattered inners once but the bell held!"
I think George will still send newer innards out to upgrade them.
ONE ORIGINAL BIRFIELD. Taken out of 76 FJ40. Looks great. Also discolored on the outside from not being stored in grease. $35
