Still searching :bang: I'm constantly monitoring this forum, CL, even Ebay!
Looking for a post '75 with good condition 2F (even an older year with transplant) I'd prefer a hardtop but that's not a deal breaker. Looking to stay right at 10k or less...
Thanks for any help!

Willing to travel for the right rig or have it shipped!

Hey... what happened to your 10k limit?
Yeah... all the best laid plans! Of course... I haven't actually talked to the seller yet so maybe the negotiations will swing my way?

As it is, I may be too old to enjoy one when I finally find it

I am picking up the 81 on Friday. The 76 is inching closer to being fired up for the first time. My parts stash is almost gone . I need to focus on the two rigs now.

I like this one better for that price, but I'm a fan of the color. Not sure either is really worth $12K, but I don't have much room to talk

x2 on the color. Looks like a little rust along the inside fender well too. For 12k it's a tossup. On the one hand, that is a pretty much complete rig for sale, boatload of original equipment. On the other hand, with that rear sill rust, you gotta look up close for more rot. Wonder how the PO damaged the left side?

Let's summarize: 2F preferred, mild to medium built, top and hard doors, soft top is a plus. Form and function trump cosmetics because this rig will be used in the mountains and trails but no major rust.

I liked the one in VA if it was $8500-9000
I liked the built 2F in CO if it was $9500

The one will find you soon.

Probably one of the nicer trucks I've seen close to my price range...
Had come close to terms for a '69 that I really liked in Colorado... Offered to meet seller in Kansas City (my wife was willing drive there and follow me home!) but got turned down. This search has gotten irritating but I figure Chris is right: "The one will find you soon"

I don't know what year/engine parameters you are using, if this ( http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/4427025080.html ) is way off say so - but, it's in your hemisphere... plus it's apparently a chameleon...

Thanks Danny... Charlotte is definitely close and it's a good looking truck. I still think I'd rather try to find a good condition 40 with a 2F and 4 speed even if it's been transplanted into an older body. Been difficult to say the least

Hang in there, Bubba - in an attempt at paraphrasing your Mark Twain signature line... "It is better to remain vigilant and be thought too picky than to buy a lemon and prove them wrong.”

Here's a '77 - should be 2F (the only engine pic looks good and appears to have, at least some, emissions) and 4Spd - asking $11.5k - I think Montana may be 'near Georgia, if you go the other way ;) - you could drive this one home.

Good luck!
