fj40 hood

can anybody give me a reason why a hood from a 78 fj40 wouldnt fit on a 76 fj40.
the part # is different but they look the same.

i had a 74 hood on my 78, so i think it works both ways. IIRC all the 40 hoods fit all years.

the windshield brackets might be different from early to late. undo 4 bolts, and that fixes that.

cept for the hoods from the 60's with that chrome strip down the center....they all look the same and they can all be put on any year....fly atter
