Yeah, I don't speak very well either. The first FJ40 should have been FJ60. The FJ60 rear heater cores are just like FJ40 heater cores.

Pics are easier. Thanks SOR.

Lower tube is different on the FJ60, housings are the same but with different mounting tab locations. Rear plastic piece is different (not shown in FJ40 drawing).

I bought a pair of FJ60 rear heaters to go in the back of the troopie for $50.

I understand now. Takes me awhile some times........................Thanks!

My '73 FJ 40 has a round rear heater core (SOR, top of page 187). These are hard to find and expensive. Thought that's what AATLASIX was referring to.

Good tech, cruiser ken. No doubt a rad shop could cut and make the expanded ring in that lower FJ60 core's pipe.

The rears are hard to find.........The front I wanted to buy new and autozone in my area wants $75 each since they dont stock them and will offer no discount even if I had my parts dept buy it. So I have a call into the branch manager to see if I can sell 10 to me at a deep discount. They are far the cheapest with the best warranty around.

What I doing is restoring the heaters http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-FJ40-FJ45-BJ40-BJ45-HEATER-9-73-1984-Restored_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ46094QQitemZ8052738825 and I dont want to use a rad shop to cut or mod them in anyway since I am selling them. I just want to offer the best product available to the general public and preserve the breed.

If it was my own I would be cool with it.

Best,

Shane

Autozone said since thier store does not stock them I am out of luck.....Still trying.............Maybe they were sticking me with shipping?
