iv been looking for / wanting a diesel toyota for a while now i dont have the tools/skills/time/ability to do a conversion for my 40

i found this
eBay Motors: Toyota : 4Runner (item 270352341334 end time Mar-12-09 07:29:10 PDT)

i was wondering what yall think of it
its in town for me so if theres anything i should go look at i can just tell me what to look for

i know theres a place for alternative fuel questions but i dont want to post this twice. do yall know how yota motors run on veggi oil or bio diesel?? any personal expierence w/it???

Howdy! First thing I would want to now is why is the owner selling if the rig only has 250 miles on the conversion? Duh! That's a lot of work to do and then get rid of it. I wonder what is REALLY wrong with it. John

i know the truck atleast exist i pass it nearly every day on my way home from work

what is weird is that i know its been posted before.... several several months ago....
i wonder why he has it back the price has dropped but that could be b/c of the economy along w/a million other reasons....

idk i really like it but iv read that the 4cyl 5speed 1st gens get about 20mpg (he is only claiming 22).... and i REALLY want a 1st gen so i think im just guna watch this one slide by....

IDK on this one, I had also seen it up for a lot more, with the justification for it being that high b/c it was what was spent on it. Just like Jerod noted, and we're out West, so it rings a little funny w/ me.

Issue is, last time it was a grey rig(?), not a white one, so I am wondering what kind of schennanigans are really going on.

Buyer beware and take a mechanic you trust is the best advise I can offer.
Sometimes too good to be true is just that.
