First off thank 2fpower. I actually looked at the photos you took of my FJ at eveland bro's. I sold the plow for $750 right off the bat so my project is starting of at $250. I am going to do a tear down and would prefer to start with a frame with minimal rust. Not sure if all years will work, but willing to perform surgery if I can get one at the right price. Will be reusing the axles and transfer case and front half sheet metal from my '78. Thanks for you time.

Glad you got it. It is going to be quite a project for you! Did he give you the brand new skin too? Old man Eveland was a trip to talk to.

I think you could likely sell the A/C unit and get to a break even start! That or the overdrive unit.

Anywho, good luck on finding a new frame. My 2 cents is get a nice new clean frame and section in the VIN number. If I recall that one had dual shocks on it, you could switch out if they can be saved.

Might as well throw my request out there..... If anyone has a decent 55 frame, give me a holler.

Yeah quite a project

I have already pulled the the A/C and all the components and have been watching to see if any come up for sell to get a price. I got it running good enough to see that the overdrive works so thats exciting. Also looking for a set of rear FJ60 springs while I have everyones attention. After riping things out of my FJ I noticed that it has a no number 2F, but yet has a '77 style points dizzy. Who knows.

He told me that the engine came out of another rig. I think he had a older rig that ran great but was falling apart. A buddy put him onto that tub and body (I think in oklahoma) that was perfect, but bad engine, so he did a swap. That is why there is no AC or brackets on that engine.
