Not to my taste, but to each his own. I took the PO flexible flares off of mine and went with 10.5x 33 tires.

I do not like them. FJ40 is not a Jeep! Takes away from the soul and charachter of an FJ40
There is a company in Australia that makes cleaner looking front fender flares. They are FRP (Fiberglass Replacement Panels) Here is the link -

Scroll down to the FJ40 front flares. I am not sure if they are fiberglass or not, but they look very clean. I would prefer a material similar to the UB40 flare that is offered, but again without contacting them you can only assume that it is made of fiberglass.

I am going to be putting FJ60 axles on my 40. I would like a set of these flares. I think they look good, even if they are 'jeep-like'.
