Looking for my second 40 series, missing the first one too much. List of what I am looking for below.

Engine: 2F, running good
Trans: stock 4 speed
Hardtop: 75-83 hardtop, and hard doors
Rear Fenders: uncut
Rear Quarters: stock no diamond plate (worried about rust)
Body/Frame Rust: minimal
Suspension: prefer stock
Paint: any color, original and heavily faded is fine
Distance: serious buyer at any distance

Can a cruiser like one of these 40’s be a daily driver? Say up to 40 miles a day in Florida on flat roads not exceeding
55-60mph? No highway driving. I would like AC and power steering.

If the Cruiser is in good running condition and mechanically sound you could 100% daily drive one. Not as comfortable or as good of mileage as a modern vehicle but most likely the reason we all love the FJ’s!! Old school rocks..
