Hi guys,
Long time reader first time poster. I'm looking at buying a FJ40 that has had a 2h and 5 speed fitted from a 75 series. The conversion has been done but no wiring has been sorted out. My question, is their a loom I can use or do I need to start from scratch? I am no slouch with electrics but obviously would like the easiest solution.

Cheers

There'd be virtually no wiring to do if you use a shutoff cable in place of the EDIC and a Wilson Switch in place of the Glow Controller.

Sounds like a great find. I just put an EZ-wiring harness in the HJ45. Check eBay for cheap kits, there aren't many circuits at all

How was the EZ kit to put in? I have a 1980 HJ45, and the wiring is pretty pieced together. Thinking about redoing the whole thing as I "learn" my HJ.

I put a 2H in my 45 last year. It was no problem. I did what @duncanrm suggested. Really quite easy and straight forward. Also not expensive.

no need for any extensive wiring mods or conversions, in fact the 2H doesnt even need any wires going to it to make it run provided theres no EDIC. best way to check yours is to look at your injector pump and there should be an arm on top. pulling it towards the cab when the engine is running will cut the motor. you normally just hook up a cable to that and you have a manual shut off and hence no need for any wiring to keep her running. that means the only wiring you need is to the starter and glow relay, which can easily be done with the stock harness.
