Ok, well its been over a year and I still haven't done anyting with this tub, and with a rolling fj45swb project next to it needing attention and money thrown at it, the fj25 tub has to go. I paid $300 for it and drove 4hrs plus to get it and I just cant store it anymore. It does have a fj25 vin # 0-FJ25-20023L
I need this gone bad. It is located in San Bernardino, CA for pick-up only!!!
I can deliver locally for beer and gas money. and parts trades are also a option as I have a few 40s and Fj45.
Thanks -Art- (909) 518-5184

I was going to say that this sounded familiar...multiple posts.

Oh well...I am currently in discussions for decent 25 tub and frame anyways, so I'll pass on the 300 bucks for this one...but for a couple of cases of brew, that I'll do ;)

Fj25 Tub

Well, Canada is a long way to go for beer!
The beer you mentioned I can get off the store shelf and fall down for about $20 bucks! So sorry, Unless you have a FJ 25 sized pile of beer up there your out of luck! It's got to at least counter the gas money. Anyhow, If your truly interested, and YOU drive down here to So Cal. I will buy you some Good Old So Cal. Style Beer of your choice, and help you load the Fj 25 tub up for FREE!!!
It will be a good excuse to come and check out my 25's and enjoy some of the good old 100 Plus summer weather we have going on down here.
Let me know what the difference is in the Early 40's and the 25's as I don't see what the differences are besides the wheelwells that have been cut by a previous owner, and the filler neck that appears stock, but in a location that appears suspicious. I've seen early 40's with square door openings, but what's up the tub I have with the Fj25 door opening and the strange location of the gas filler, It for sure looks stock from the inside also. No welds in funny spots or bondo and the floor height to the Fj25 door opening is unique also.
Are the windshield mounts on the body tub unique the the Fj25 with the four small phillips screws, or are early 40's similar.
Sorry for all the questions but I need to make a decision on this tub before I sacarifice this tub to the Land Cruiser Gods! Yes, I know that some one once bought this Land Cruiser brand new and all that is left of it is the tub and vin plate! But I also have a FJ40 with 39 inch Iroks that loves to run over stuff!
Is this tub worth saving?

Ha, something to consider...but you'd have to drink it all here, as I don't think you can bring a skid full of beer back ;)

You have more pictures...dash, floor, cowl ?

Door openings are the same for the 25s and early 40s. The hard top and soft top had different openings. Same with the windshield mounts. The gas tank opening would have further forward and larger on a FJ25. The 40s share the same gas tank for both hard and soft tops. The 25s had a different one for each. The ribs on the back floor are wrong. The 25s didn't have any U shaped ones. Plus the dash looks like it's cut for the colomn shifter above the steering colomn. All FJ25s were four speeds with a floor shifter.

25 Tub ?

Well, It's been a while and I still do not know if this tub is a FJ25 or a early fj40 with the fj25 door openings???
Regardless, I STILL HAVE THIS TUB !!!!!!!!!
I just do not have it in me to scrap this thing. I mean it has the Fj25 door openings, how does this happen with the U shaped channnel in the rear floor??
I don't know!!
I don't even want a answer! According to Marv at Specter there were may variations of the Fj25.
I currently have two, Yes 2 fj25s right now!
A 1959 I got from Mark A.
and a 1960 FJ 25
Not counting this tub, and yes I drove 4 hrs to save it from the scrap yard and paid $300.00 for it years ago.
Stupid maybe,............?
The floors are in great shape and I dont want to scrap it.
How about a $100.00 for the gas and time it took to save it from the scrapper?
PM me a offer or trade.

Just tell your wife you are doing it for her...instead of you running around with the guys and stuff, these "projects" keep you closer to home ;)

Yeah, but I'm calling the '63 "Project Someday" and it's literally years away. But I am heading to LA sometime in the next few months, so it's worth asking for pics.
