I have searched and scoured the FSM before posting. I feel like I should have found the answer by now since others have experienced the same issue. All i can find are FJ80 routing paths and pictures of the burned up wires.
Anyway... I just recently purchased a new to me FJ100. Upon inspection of the locker system, it immediately became pretty apparent that there were some shorts. Sure enough, the rear diff wires were totally burned up like many others have also experienced.
I was thinking about replacing the whole harness instead of cutting out and splicing new wires in.
1.) Can anybody describe the routing of the rear locker wires through the 100 series? Does it run up frame or within the body/cab of the truck? Any tricks to removing it?
2.) Is there a good place to buy a new harness or is the better option building my own out of the remaining pieces?
