I have no experience with LED bulbs in blinker spots and I definitely advise against modifying a 30 year old part.

If you install an LED bulb anywhere it appears that you would need a resistor for that spot.

About the first bit... I just figure that if I have LED bulbs everywhere else (that are constantly on) then I am doing the system a big help. Blinkers should be noticeable LED or not... Cause they blink.

I have LED turn signal bulbs - noticeably brighter but not obnoxious, and they flash at the right speed with no other mods. I just left the regular bulbs in the ARB which are also turn signals, so they are providing the needed resistance.

Any threads detailing how to wire these resistors up by chance? My search got nuthin.

Yep- this worked. SuperBrightLED's has the Load resistors. I installed them and the lights blink properly.

I figured since I had the time, and my rig is at the shop, I would provide a deeper dive in more detail for the load resistors & the install process. I added some pics for those of us that like to "view" the solution.

I used a pop rivet to secure the resistor to the body after drilling a small hole.

Remove the tail light assembly.

Drill a small hole to attach the resistor to the body with a pop rivet. Making sure there is nothing behind when drilling.

Attach the resistor to the body of the truck with a single pop rivet. Nice and secure! Connect the resistor wires to the lamp assembly - one wire to each of the two blinker wires.

Anybody else order these? Any further reviews? Look like a nice upgrade.
