Worked on the Ejection seat. Didn't get very far, I didn't win the Eject knob and the wife pointed out the roll cage was in the way.

I was running a 3FE alternator but I just didn't like the way it was set up. It worked great, I just didn't like it.
I put a smog pump eliminator braket on and found that my belts were rubbing.
I installed a 125 Amp Chevy/Delco Alternator. I put a build thread covering it in the 40 series section.

Installed a Power Steering cooler.

Worked on the Bed.
Installed the tabs on the subframe and bolted the bed down.

I used the pulley off one of my spare 2F alternators. Goes right on and eccepts the 5/8" belt. I used a 5L430 belt since a tractor parts place was the only thing open. I will change it to an automotive belt on monday.

Now that the bed is bolted down, I worked on the fuel filler assy.
I'm not done with it, but it is better than a bungie cord.

I made the uprights for the bed supports and welded them in.

Cleaned the stuff out of the bed and blew it out with the air hose.
Grabbed my commercial spray gun and painted the inside of the bed.

I then went to install a spare tire so I can pass Tech inspection at Moab.
Good Gosh those 39.5" Irocs are huge when they are at eye level.
I may as well sell my rear view mirror since it will be worthless.

Did I mention that 39.5" Irocs don't fit on a Kaymar Bumper.

Just throw that puppy in the bed and strap'er down. My spare, like yours, is just too friggin big for a tire carrier, IMO. I would think if you have beadlocks they should let the no spare thing slide. Again my opinion.

Yes I do need one.
I took that one off the front just to make sure it would fit.
I didn't want to find out at your house that a 39.5 doesn't fit.

Here is how I got the 39.5 Iroc to fit. It did not fit in two ways as seen in the pictures above show.
First was the height. It was too large to ever be able to use the latch.
The second fiment issue was the widthe of the tire itself. the width of the tire was hitting the bottom of the carrier. This did not allow for it to wheel stud surface to mate properly. A wheel spacer would have fixed it in a pinch but Mock up is done on this rig. Everything being done now is permanant.
I simple removed the wheel mount assy and placed it on top of the mount. After cleaning all surfaces, I cranked up the welder and welded them together. i think I got some good penetration.

Since there is a tremendous amout of leverage on this I added a back strap to weld then ends together.
I slid the wheel mount out so the ends were even in order to gain the clearance I needed when the spare is mounted.

The three fuel can swing out needed to be changed to work with the bed.
FC Fabrication made this and it was sweet. I could not believe how well it was welded. Getting it apart involved over an hour with a Plasma and an 8' pry bar.
It needed to be spaced out to clear the bed.
I ended up cutting the carrage off the swing out and adding a new piece of 4" x 1/8" steel to the floor of it.
For the spacing, I needed 2 1/2" inches. I used some sections of 1/4 wall square tubing. I welded everything up and it came out great.
