Worked on the Ejection seat. Didn't get very far, I didn't win the Eject knob and the wife pointed out the roll cage was in the way.

I was running a 3FE alternator but I just didn't like the way it was set up. It worked great, I just didn't like it.

I put a smog pump eliminator braket on and found that my belts were rubbing.

I installed a 125 Amp Chevy/Delco Alternator. I put a build thread covering it in the 40 series section.

Hmmmmm. Excellent alt setup. What pulley?

Mmmmmm, Skoal. What flavor is that?
 
I used the pulley off one of my spare 2F alternators. Goes right on and eccepts the 5/8" belt. I used a 5L430 belt since a tractor parts place was the only thing open. I will change it to an automotive belt on monday.

Just throw that puppy in the bed and strap'er down. My spare, like yours, is just too friggin big for a tire carrier, IMO. I would think if you have beadlocks they should let the no spare thing slide. Again my opinion.

So does the jerry can holder on the drivers side. Things are too hot to paint.
 
Dan, did you need a spare? I can have that one for you when you get out here.
 
I'll throw it and a rim in the back of the truck and swap them out.
BTW, I have a line lock somewhere as well.

Here is how I got the 39.5 Iroc to fit. It did not fit in two ways as seen in the pictures above show.

First was the height. It was too large to ever be able to use the latch.

The second fiment issue was the widthe of the tire itself. the width of the tire was hitting the bottom of the carrier. This did not allow for it to wheel stud surface to mate properly. A wheel spacer would have fixed it in a pinch but Mock up is done on this rig. Everything being done now is permanant.

I simple removed the wheel mount assy and placed it on top of the mount. After cleaning all surfaces, I cranked up the welder and welded them together. i think I got some good penetration. :D

The three fuel can swing out needed to be changed to work with the bed.

FC Fabrication made this and it was sweet.
I could not believe how well it was welded. Getting it apart involved over an hour with a Plasma and an 8' pry bar.

It needed to be spaced out to clear the bed.

I ended up cutting the carrage off the swing out and adding a new piece of 4" x 1/8" steel to the floor of it.

For the spacing, I needed 2 1/2" inches. I used some sections of 1/4 wall square tubing. I welded everything up and it came out great.
