I saw it too, very nice resto. First thing I thought was I need to lock my fj45 in the garage...

Wonder what a paint job like that goes for 5-10k?

damn! my brother called me at work to tell me about that truck but i've yet to see it!

im fast fwd'ing thru all the Barrett Jackson on my DVR just trying to find that rig!

That cruiser is just down the road from me, a rich lady bought it to put in a car museum here in Grand Junction CO. She opens it on the weekends to the public in a huge building across from our Toyota dealer.

Trailer actually has 40-series front fenders and a bezel...

Does anyone understand how these auctions work? I SAW it on TV go for 64K and the web list the truck and trailer as 2 seperate lots each going for 35,200??? Then I read in the post above a different price, anyone ever been to one of these?

Took a good look at it today. From Montana very clean, the frame looks like it came off the show room floor. Not sure why they went with yellow but a factory color and most people on this board would have been impressed with the condition. The trailer is gay even in person IMO.

Yep, I don't know about trailer either, would of been nice if they spent more time making the hood funtional and maybe serve as a lid for a toolbox or something. Looks like they did a cut and paste on the ol'computer but in real life it needs a little more work. But the truck looks sweet.

Are you sure it isn't a tool box. Looking at the first picture in the other threadit looks like two hinges in the back fill in plate at the height of the trailer.

I believe the lid/hood does open, although I did not try it. There is open screen behind the bezel and open screen at the front of the trailer leaving a opening between the two pieces of screen under the hood.

The tail gate on the trailer looks to be operable also.

64+6.4=70.4 If you're in that kind of game a 10% bidders commission doesn't mean too much. ;)

That cruiser "IS" just down the road or "WAS" down the road.

Was she the buyer or the seller?

It sounds like it was just down the road from you. Now for just $70K it's going somewhere else. Probably need to add a security system to the garage I keep my stored in.:hhmm:

Now if it sold for $64K does the state charge tax on it since it went thru Barrett Jackson. I understand business would but they also got to write off all the cost and only pay tax on profit. I am local to the area and have kicked around the idea of at some point of restoring some of my rare cruisers and selling them there. But if you have to pay tax on full amount it time to start the business now and start running off all the cost including the second garage:meh:
