How do you like that particular forward facing bench? Does it sit too low to the ground for comfort?

Funny you ask because I was considering modifying the brackets to pick it up about 4-6in however; there is plenty of leg room and no one has complained so far. It is also nice to have low because it does not block the drivers visibility out the back windows as much and does not block the side windows at at like the OEM sideways tumble seats did. Biggest draw back is getting to it is not as easy as the OEM setup which used the back door.

Is that the Bestop fold and tumble? I'm trying to figure out which forward facing rear seat to go with (Smittybilt, Bestop, etc). If you raise it and it is a fold and tumble, I assume you will have to extend the latch mechanism.

Yes it is a Bestop Unit. I was considering fabricating modified bracket2 for the hinges and latch brackets on the seat side. The latch hoop on the floor would stay the same.

200-1501PFJ40 Auxiliary Fuel Cell that we are setting up to be the main tank. This tank was made to the same specifications as the legendary ConFerr auxiliary tank that is no longer being made. Can be found on www.MarksOffroad.net for around $700.

We will be using the stock fill location which will be piped back to the tank.

Do you have pictures of the completed piping from the gas door to the tank ? You only have the aux tank or you also have the stock thank in the front ?

The rear tank is my main and only tank. The filler is in the stock location and routed straight back to the tank with a 2" rubber fuel hose clamped to the filler pipe and tank inlet

@Stutes

Great build thread. I enjoyed your shakedown thread as well.

Do you recall the color they used for the roof and bezel? Is it the Cygnus White or something else? Whatever they used, it looks really good with your body color.

How do you like the jerry can holder on the ambulance door? Any issues getting in/out the back or clearance opening the door? I think I'm going with the same setup on my troopy build and want to hear your feedback.

Thanks,

Joule

I like the look of the jerry can setup. It does not cause any trouble getting the door open or clearance to get in. You just have to be careful not to close it too hard. I also keep it empty unless going on a long trip or overlanding.

@Stutes

Thanks for the reply on the jerry can. I plan to keep mine empty most of the time as well.
