Oh, I finished it yesterday!

I had the spare rim made last year. It has been sitting lonely in my garage waiting for a home.

I was installing it during working hours, but had to postpone because it got busy.. It was sooooooo hard just to look at it and not get to drive it home!

Puma compressor, added an anderson connector to the pump with 4awg wire. I used jumper cable wire and butt splices from Home Depot.

I have finally gotten around to running the cable from the main battery to the drivers rear corner panel. Cable runs through an existing firewall grommet and under the door sill..

Then notched a hole in the cover for the cables to stick out of....

I installed a 50amp breaker on the battery box and grounded to the rear body panel.

Nice and tidy with the cover on!

In the future the Puma will be mounted on the wheel well.

I will soon have 4 kids! So, I gave up on preserving space in the rear of the LC. I planned to use my basket on the bumper to haul an ice chest, as this would allow more room in the back. But since I will have to install one of the third row seats again, I said F-it and bought the fridge. And at $279 it's a really good price.

Most of the items for camping will now be stored on top with a future roof rack....

I will be using the existing Anderson connector for the Puma, to power the fridge. I cut off the fridge cigarette adaptor and added an Anderson connector with an inline fuse holder of 15amps.

I also installed a connector on the other half of the cigarette adapter. This way if I need/want to use it in another vehicle, it can be plugged in.

In the near future I will build a fridge slide, that will allow safe mounting....

Sitting in the LC ready to cool lots of goodies!

Hopefully well. They have been in use for a long time by others. If all else fails, I'll throw some ice in it and write Pelican on the outside with a big ass sharpie.

After reading and first hand experience, I've confirmed that the plastic handles on this fridge are very weak. The handles can easily seperate from the base, causing it to fall to the ground. If you secure the fridge to the truck with straps running through the handles, you could see where this could also be a problem.

I can't find who to give credit for the idea at the moment, but below is the link and a pic of replacement handles. I will feel much better carrying the fridge around and securing it in the truck with the new handles.

Using the old handle as a guide, mark and drill holes in the new handles. Then mount with existing screws...

Left rear power window has never work right since purchasing the truck. The window would only go up or down an inch or two before stopping, or further with the aid of physical motivation. I lubed the seals with Gummi Pflege Stift. This helped speed things up on the other three windows,..... but not this one.

I removed the motor and tested it, only to get the same results. Upon disassembly, I noticed the brushes were pretty worn down.

Replacing them would not be cost affective, so I ordered a Dorman brand motor off of Amazon.

Top one is the new motor and bottom one is old. The screw holes are not threaded on the new motor housing. Instructions say to use the OEM screws, and they will self tap new threads. I was a little hesitant, but I must say it worked out great.

Came with an assortment of attachments, with the yellow one fitting the truck.

After installing the motor and testing it worked great! HOWEVER, after installing the door panel, I realized they wired the connector backwards. So up was down, and down was up. I took the panel back off and reversed the terminals inside the connector. Now it works perfectly! Only thing now, this is the fastest window on the truck...

The past few days I've wrapped up a few projects. Including these items, and having fixed the window, the truck feels whole again.


I permanently routed the CB wire through the L/R light housing. No more squeezing it between the rear hatch.

Fixed some water leaks coming from the side marker holes/clips. I used silicone around the side marker light and re-installed. Then also put some around the bolts/holes on the inside of the panel. Nice and dry now!
