Truck is in the shop so at a stand still with a garage full of new parts. I dropped off the new H55F at the transmission shop last Monday, and told them I would get the FJ to them Tuesday. Well messing with the truck Monday night in preparation for that, it developed a fuel issue. Almost no fuel getting to the filter and the fuel line between the pump and the filter is collapsing. I tried blowing the fuel line back out to the tank, which helped a little, but just enough to lull me into driving it and having it break down about 3/4 of a mile from the house. Parked it there and walked home. Got it towed to a shop and having them work on that, the brake lights, and the AC. Told them to drop the transmission/t-case so I could take it to the transmission shop so they could at least rebuild the t-case onto the H55F.

Current parts in waiting in the garage:
U-Joints
new front bucket seats
ARB Bumper and winch
new front seat belts
shocks
steering stabilizer
knuckle rebuild kit
stainless brake hoses

On Order:
SOR rear upholstery
Visor clips (SOR)
SeatBeltPlanet rear 3-point seat belt kit

Currently waiting to see what all the labor and repairs are going to cost me before I order anything else. Trying to decide between spending $200+ on new hatch and cargo window weather stripping or just replacing the chrome strip with black lock strip ($50) and City Racer Window felts for dechroming the doors.

Plan is still to look at TBI kit, snorkel and custom intake, and a 4x4Labs rear bumper. Will probably have to go with the kit to keep within budget.

on a side note, I did get the LED headlights figured out and installed prior to everything going to pot. These are 1000% better than anything I have had on the truck before.

Really thinking about going with one of Kelly’s custom grilles and headlight surrounds to delete the corners. These headlights have a DRL that can be wired for amber or white light. Thinking that I could wire the white as the fog light and wire the amber into the turn signal along with the indicators in the ARB when I get it installed.

haven’t updated in a bit.

Truck still isn’t home, but should be picking it up this week. H55F and new u-joints installed, ARB and winch installed. Fuel delivery and charging issues fixed.

Once I get it back I can jump on installing new buckets and rear upholstery, all new seat belts (3 point rear included), snorkel/new intake, and lots of other parts.

Tomorrow will be getting the new front seats and seat belts installed and at that point the interior will be 99% done. I still want to install a rear seat USB port in the back of the center console and a cargo area charging port. But that’ll be about it as far as the interior goes.

I'm waiting on upholstery from Cruiser Corps and 3 point seatbelts will be in tomorrow. I added two ports to the rear of the console but haven't run the wires, but when I do, I'm adding a kill switch via relay to the fuel pump. Those seats look phenomenal @Fitzwho.

Interior is pretty much done. Probably should have just bit the bullet and bought the Moab TrailCat seats that I wanted. But these are very comfortable. Had to fab up an entirely new base mount for the driver seat to drop it about 1-1.5” to leave me with some head room. Got the new front seat belts installed as well.

stuff I don’t have pictures of:
Installed new Holley Street Demon Carb (stuck with the carb for now), electric fuel pump, and bypass style pressure regulator. Truck was running rich with the Edelbrock. Probably just needed to be cleaned due to some old fuel. Replacing it seemed more fun. Still need to take the mechanical off and install the block off plate.

Wit’s End differential plugs came in. Waiting to replace them until I have a weekend to rebuild the front end and replace fluids front and rear.
