Moose didn't make it far on his first attempt but that didn't discourage him at all. :bounce:
then it was Romey's turn, a tug back and he decided to be the rope handler for the remainder of the trek to meet the guys coming in from the other end.
our first sign of the other guys, PZJ78 makes it to the top of the knoll and is stuck ... bad. Mitch's first stuck of the day.
That is Romey on the roof rack of the PZJ78. better view. makes me think of those pics of South America where you see people all over the vehicles for a ride.

the other half of our days adventurers.
Samir in his KZJ78
Rusty in his gasser 80
Alex in his HJ60
Mitch in my PZJ78.

Alex, a newbie to the club, learning the tecnique of winter wheeling and when to accelerate and when to stop. He was a great student and by the end of the day he had the movements down pat.

happy faces. Mitch stuck for the second time in the day. He did wicked all day.

embarrasing moment for Mitch, after fighting to lead his half of the group up the road, he got stuck in the back yard. Rusty got the glory of finally being able to pull Mitch out.

Rusty did extremely well also. that 1" body lift was all he needed to be able to use the skinny pedal as required.

Mitch concentrating, waiting for the tug back while his daughters looked on.

Berni made a wicked lunch/supper for us all at the end of the first run. it took 5 hours to bust open one road with 7 trucks. a challenging task.
Mitch, Alex and the girls enjoying the grub. you get pretty hungry after enjoying the fresh air.

Moose's chopped 60 running on Veggi. Moose did wicked all day.

after eating we headed for another closed road but after the Tractor popped over the ban i realized i had bitten off almost more than i could handle. it took 30 mins of steady chewing to get back up the gentle hill. the snow consitancy had changed with the dropping tempurature and even fully locked front and rear is was ... nasty. i couldn't get enough speed to pop back over the bank fo Moose hooked on with his princessauto strap and, although brand new, he snapped it in half ... and ... bent the attachent point. we hooked up my proper tug'm rope and as gentle as crawling out of bed the 70 popped up and over.

on the way back Mitch suggested another road to bust open. it had been dark for a couple hours already but we were all up for it. Rusty busted trail all the way in without being stuck once. Moose "moosed it" up to behind Rusty and then the PZJ78 rocked its way through. I idled up the rear. Rusty was stopped, Moose was stuck tight behind him, the PZJ78 thought Rusty was stuck so he pulled in front and then he got ... almost stuck.
i gave Moose a tug around back onto the trail while Mitch and Rusty struggled to get turned around on their own.

once back home i was ready to crash. a round of farewells and into the house.

:clap:great time guys. i hope we can make a mud run come spring.:clap:

Alex, i could've sworn i had at least 2 vids of you and the hj60, it's not on my computer or the camera, which means, my little guy was playin with it and must've hit delete! lol. my bad. anyway, easier this way as opposed to waiting for each short clip to download and having a dozen..

cheers.
