Actually scratch that on the refinishing, looks like an OE assembly with pulley and everything is just about $80, seems worth it

There wouldn't happen to be a quick link to a downloadable FSM available would there? The thought of outlaying a few hundred for the print version doesn't seem all that enjoyable at the moment.
Give me a minute and there will be all the 2002 LX470 resources in the Resources section you need.

It's not a good idea to use the other years, because although the models are mostly the same, there were specific changes in the early years that are missing from the earlier FSMs. Toyota also changed the format of the FSMs after 2000, and placed the diagnostic information is each repair section, instead of having it all in one chapter. I agree with the engineers who laid out the earlier manuals. The dealers let their mechanics complain to Toyota and they changed the format. Much harder to find anything after the change.

Oh, and Go Vols!

OK, the NCF (NCF213U) and EWD (EWD455U) are there, along with the Collision Repair Manual (CR02X0 for all 100/LX470 models. You may also find the Wiring Harness Repair Manual, in the 80 series section, useful.

The FSM is quite large and I'm compressing it now, so it'll be a while before it's ready. I've bookmarked the opening sections, which you should at least scan, before going to the remainder of the FSM. There's some really useful information in those sections. I have a bookmark file I can upload in a future update, if you think that would be of use to you. It's not fully bookmarked, there are chapter bookmarks only (engine, drivetrain, transmission, suspension, etc.), but it's a really large file and making your way through it is cumbersome. It is a searchable pdf, so using CTRL+F will help, but that's no substitute for bookmarks, IMHO.

Also, let me know if you have trouble downloading the file; I can split it if that would help. This isn't something you want on your phone.

@Mistersuperfly
the 2002 LX470 FSM , and associated files, are ready for general use.

Please take a minute and read through, or at least scan the first two sections. I misspoke (miswrote?) above; this is the last year of (IMHO) properly laid out 100/LX470 series FSMs. All the service specifications are in one place, all the special service tools are in one place, and, best of all, all the diagnostic information is in one place. The later manuals are formatted so that you can only find this information in the particular section you're working on. Great, if you know where to go to solve a problem. Sucks for you if you don't.

I just noticed the bookmark for the maintenance chapter is incomplete. I'll fix that.

...and yes, there are over 1,000 pages of diagnostic flowcharts. And this doesn't cover the engine troubleshooting flowcharts, which are referenced in the diagnostic section.

Thank you my friend!!! You’re an absolute life saver! Will be digging into those this week, I’m about 100 YouTube hours in on watching people replace these bits so I’m feeling pretty good now.
