I've got an important question: I found out these coilovers (http://www.milneroffroad.com/FOXPRICE2.HTM) by FOX and I wanted to know from you something about them: are they a good product?
I saw that the have a lo0t of versions, wich is the best, considering also the price? Is there much difference between the ones with remote reservoir and the ones without it?
One more thing: what do you thing about the Air Shock? It works without the coil becouse it has an air spring, adjustable from 75 to 400 psi; It has a little bit less travel (4" less then the coilovers) but seems to be a good choice. Adding to that, the price is very low.
Is this preferable to the coilover or I should forget it...?

P.S. talking about the coilovers, seems that the coil spring is NOT included, isn't it?
Ok, that's what I tought, we call it "dome bar".
In effect I've had this idea also before, but I was not so sure about it; if you say that it hasn't any consequence for the rest of car I will built it.
Talking to the friend who's helping me with the solderings, he suggestd me to make something like that:
The drawing referes to the driver's side, where I have the driving shaft exactly where I should put the shock's support (on the passenger's side there is nothing so I don't have any space problem).
Another alternative is to look for a different power steering box. You might have better luck with FJ60 box. Or Hilux / minitruck. I think both of those are face of frame mounted and the stem is locaded behind the shock tower above the frame.
2 steps forward and one back, but I think you will like the end result better.
I am doing the same thing to my 40 with 80 axles. I am running a wishbone 4 link in the rear and a 3 link with a hardpan bar in the front. I just got the links all tacked in and waiting on my coilovers. I am trying to get a couple of pics on here but i cant get them to upload.
Pretty cool mounts for your rear uppers at the frame. Allows you to play with your anti-squat. Good idea...
The front definatly looks tricky with the steering shaft in the way. I must agree with the others, it may save time to relocate it now instead of building around it. By the time you build around it you may find it still interferes...
