wood doesnt seem like something Toyota would have on a roof rack.

please.........someone buy it......or it might end up at my place ;)

When the truck was new, the rack had four fancy mahogany rails up top (that's what the P.O. told me). They have long since been replaced by the two 2x4's that are up there now.
As of yet, no one has bought the truck. Although I haven't yet checked my e-mail or cell phone today.

Won't be me.

Owner sent me a note saying he only sells it on the condition that it gets resto’ed. Fawk that. Yeah, I could lie to the dude, but I’m not gonna do that. I want an LV to wheel and beat on around town. Not talking about hacking it up, but no resto fo sho. Heck, if it lays on it’s side, or roof for that matter, then yeah, I may chop off the roof and go canvas. But I’m not going to buy a rig from some dude that’s going to get all weepy eyed after he sells it.

Want a condition? Here’s one for ya. Once you take my money – shut up and put the truck out your mind as it’s now mine and not your’s.

Sorry, but I don’t do conditional sales. LOL.

Junk,
Thanks for responding to my e-mail with your concerns directly, rather than completely blowing me off and not even saying you are no longer interested. Expecially to then post your rant here, that sure shows class.
Perhaps I should restate my request so as to clarify. Once you buy the truck, you are correct. It is yours to do as you want. If that includes wheeling, etc... fine. I just don't want the truck to go to someone that is only planning on ripping it to pieces for parts (as I stated in the e-mail, I don't want it parted). Notice, I didn't say what sort of restoration I would like for it. A resto means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To some, it means a lift, lockers, body work and have a cool driver. To others, it means a show room restoration. The key for me is that I want this truck fixed up, rather than torn apart. Even if it is just driven as is for the next ten/15 years, that is fine. I just don't want it parted out. Sorry you are no longer interested. I hope that you find what you are looking for out there.

Junk and I are thinking about going halves on the deal and then we'll make a low rider out of it...chop the top, 20 inch spinners, drop it to the ground....it'll be great :)

I like the idea of cutting it in two......then you can each have half a 45.....or a FJ 22.5LV

Gr8ful, there was a guy at Ramble asking me where an LV for sale was, I told him about yours, but he's not computer ready. You might try to contact the Razorback people, see if they can get you contact info for him. His name was Lee, I might have his last name at home. Tell the Razorback guys I sent you...
