Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

This month we have a guest speaker to discuss volunteer opportunities with 4 wheel drive vehicles and emergency communications. Let's please have a good turnout.

Also, please take note of your dues situation and make sure you are current.

I will see you at the brewery!

I plan to bring some girl scout cookies in case anyone wants some. :hhmm: Cookies are $4.00/box. If you happen to want more than a box or 2, PM me and I will make sure to bring the type you want.

See you at the meeting...

We'll take some cookies...

2 boxes of Tang-a-longs
2 boxes of the Lemon ones

Oh... and if you want to stop by your neighbors and see if that 80 is locked, # miles and $$$. :grinpimp:

I'll buy your first beer for passing your technicians licence (something I think Leon started.... I'm sure he'll reimburse me ;)).

Sounds good, I will bring cookies!

Thank you!

The neighbors with the 80 are about 8 houses away and I don't know them. I will bring her card for you tomorrow, rather than acting as a middle man.

Let's get a big turnout tonight for Don.

Bummer I won't be able to make this meeting, I love the search and rescue thing. Some folks don't realize how far back into the boonies you can get with a small group of capable vehicles/operators. We had looked into the same thing in AK since aircraft could be grounded for weather when you needed them the most.

Sell that house already!

:o Go get to know your neighbor! Lazy bum...... ;-)

There goes your 10% finders fee....

Good turnout at this meeting. We discussed the usual business as well as the snow and night wheeling runs. We also had Don Johnson of Pikes Peak Amateur Radio Emergency Service (http://ppares.org) as a guest speaker.

There are plenty of great (and fun) volunteer opportunities with PPARES, and everyone with an amateur license is urged to sign up!

The comprehensive list of Colorado repeaters can be found in the HAM radio information thread in the repeater section. It it a 36 page pdf with file name channel listings.pdf

Got signed up with PPARES yesterday and looking at their events calendar, there are a lot of interesting looking volunteer opportunities out there (Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Pike Peak Marathon, Tour De Cure, ....). Looking forward to helping out with as many of these events as my free time will allow. Get signed up and lets go!
