Anyone up for a wrenching weekend 2/24 - 2/25? I'd like to put together a set of sliders for the LX.

I know Erik C. is coming down for the weekend, and Craig C. for at least a day. Anyone else going to be available? There's room at our house if anyone wants to make a weekend of it.

Craig - any info I can get you ahead of time so you can start working with your pipe bending software?

Also - any projects out there other than welding/fab? Let me know so I can make sure we have the tools, etc. available.

What are your plans for the old running boards and mud flaps?

No plans for the running boards & brackets but planning to incorporate the mud flaps into the slider design if possible.

We typically get down to the shop around 9:00 and work until whenever.

Chris, I'll need a 2' peice of each size pipe we''ll be bending to calibrate the bender. I have 1 1/2'" on hand, Erik has 1 3/4" and 2" dies I think so we would need a peice of each if any body is using those sizes. You have a fork lift to unload the bender don't you? As far as info for the computor work, it is quick and easy. It will probably take more time making a drawing of what we want. I figure we can draw it on the floor pretty easily(below the car), then just measure it. We will need some kind of thinner to clean the pipe and some rattle can paint to keep it from rusting afterward! Do you have an auto darkening welding hood? I'm planning on being there Sat.

I'm planning to make mine out of 1 3/4" pipe and should have some scraps.

Forklift - check.
Paper - check.
Thinner - check.
Paint - check.
Auto-darkening hood - check.
