Fan Clutch

Looks like I have to re-place the fan clutch on my Prado 2.4 Anyone have a Toyota part number?

why not take it apart and replcae the silicone fluid that is inside? cheap, get 2 factory tubes and have at it...

Stopped the fan from turning when it was running. Was up to temprature. Could spin it backwards freely. How hard is it to rebuild ? Where can I buy the silicone ?

do a search there is a thread in here somewhere...
very easy
remove fan and clutch housing
split in 2
replace the silicone
(available from Toyota)
reassemble
reinstall
done

easy huh?

along with the subject, my FJ70 doesnt have a fan clutch, is there anywhere i can get them online, or should i shop around here? THanks!

think I will go down to Toyota and kiss their ass and rebuild it like you said. Local Toyota not to freindly.
