This is probably going to be a weeked/long weekend for most of us...

Flat Nasty....we know and love it... Ron will throw an event for us if we come.

Bundy hill... Its close, we have never been there... the pics I can find look mixed.

Rocks and Valleys... Looks like a good park.

Harlan... Huge, scenic, definitely a place I want to go! probably nice and warm for Oct. Far.

Drummond... Far! cold! looks awesome though.

Badlands... well...you know.

You can vote for more than one thing

Do u think flat nasty and Harlan are about the same drive?

Both Drummond and Harlan are 8.5 hours. An hour further than Flat Nasty. Rocks and Valleys is 5.5 and will be chilly for camping in oct too.

I say we try that place in Marsailles. Cliffs something.

Hey Fxxx head, I'm trying to trying to figure out where a fall run should be. Don't complain when we are sitting on our ass for the next 7 months...

I say you go to the cliffs, and we will meet you there.

Everything except flat nasty and badlands is at least 7 1/2 hours away for us so anywhere is fine.

I vote Harlan, my logic, if I'm gunna commit to a long wknd i may as well make it worth my while and see some new s***

Although i do have the season pass to flat nasty, it will be fun to hang out with the meth head coal miners in harlan. Thats what i voted for, i am 50 50 if i can go. Depends on what work project i am on and if ill be traveling. I would probibly be able to only do a 3day wheel the piss out of that park type trip. We would have to checl when the annual fall crawl "event" is and go the week before or after that.

Rocks and valleys might be cool to check out. Its new to us, relatively close, and I would rather drive through Michigan than through corn fields of Indiana to Kentucky. Not that I don't want to see Harlan for a longer trip.

Im considering making this trip if I get the front end straitened out on the 4runner. And I need to stop using my rear shocks as bump stops/limiting straps.

Late October or late September?

I suppose that will narrow down where we go. Rocks and Valleys may not be a good choice in late Oct. Harlan and Flat Nasty will be a good choice in late October, but would also be fine in late Sept.

The second weekend in Oct is the tony run

https://forum.ih8mud.com/il-windy-city-land-cruisers/764164-tony-run-13-a.html

but, as that is just a weekend thing, we should be able to plan this trip close to it, if we want, no?

I think Harlan or FN would be fun in Late Oct, or R&V in late Sept.... but that's just me.

These dates are spoken for.
Sept.21st is Interlake
22nd is Moonlight racing stocker no locker run
28th strange folk festival
Oct. 5th haunted house

Ok, Should we do mid to late Oct? Sometime after the tony run? Oct 19 weekend? October 26 weekend? If so, then I think FN or Harlan would have better weather.

Unless we did Sept 14th weekend at R&V?

Thoughts?

No matter which one that the group picks, I will say I am going and back out at the last minute!

So I have no opinion:flush:

I will only be there in spirit with those that hold me near & dear in their thoughts & hearts. Living vicariously through the memories I must create, from the stories told to me by my loved ones who lived it.

Cause I'm a non-wheeling, no rig owning, sorry excue for a broke ass worthless son of a bitch

My favorite one of the bunch

Ok, I think at this point, we are looking at Flat Nasty in mid to late October (unless I get an out pouring of support for Harlan). I would like to save Harlan for a week long trip with "everyone."

So which weekend works best? Ill give Ron the heads up that we are heading down....
