OK now that's cool! Definitely worth the wait on the pics........

2 thumbs up Dylan!

again great job man and thanks for the updates! Those tires look like 33's! Man! If you end up with some extra $ then you keep your eyes peeled for some used 36's or 37's. Then sell the 35's and you will prob break even.

I can understand parents and family not thinking its safe. But these things are built like the tanks of the 70's they weigh a ton and if something hits you its going to get totaled.

What other plans do you have for the cookie monster?

And my best advice about it since you are so young is to stick with it. Don't get the bug for something else and sell it. (Speaking from personal experience on cars when I was your age.)

trust me im not gonna run out of steam on it. someone said somethin about anti wrap bar, im not complety sure what that is still, so if someone could chime in that would be awesome. the future holds a tranny swap. . . eventually. . . $$$$ no how that goes. I also want to adapt a currie antirock sway bar for the front, and go ARB's front and rear, maybe an aussie in the rear, i dont know. There are so many plans i have for this thing, i have had about three years to come up with ideas after i bought when i was almost 15. I picked it up hella cheap and new was i was getting because i had following them for so long. I got it and it had a 8K dollar invoice from Toyota for a NEW 2F installed late 1999. So i have been able to dream and save for awhile. The only problem is finding time to wheel it between school and work and working on it. . . again thanks for the replies, its encouraging_Dylan

it is to stop axle wrap..

When you get traction with a SO setup (more commonly) you can actually rotate the axle housing enough to bind the yoke and pop the pinion...

It sucks..

What springs did you end up going with? When I first did the SO I replaced my OME with stock replacement springs because I didn't want to go too high. It has settled in the past year, but I didn't start out nearly as tall as you did.

Sweet rig, :flipoff2: I really like what you have done to it, It is pretty high tho, :zilla: as long as you dont try to park it in that garage u have it sittin next to you'll be alright.

take care

Tommy

Nice rig, CaliCruiser! May I suggest going with shorter shackles? Anything that can shave off some height will help...that, and going straight to 37's! :flipoff2:

He did a SR as well as stated above. Dont think he can go wieth shorter shackles with that and still have it level. Just go with the 37's when you get the $ :) keep up the good work!

Very cool and good workmanship

Spring over with stock springs and shackle reversal. had to build some pretty good size shackles in the rear to match the SR. bye the way i see a lot of guys from NorCal around here, i need to meet some of you guys, to many jeep guys up here in the hills._Dylan

Safety isn't about the vehicle, it's about the driver. Center of gravity is a lot higher, but if you adjust your driving to compensate, you can be very safe. Cool truck. Props for doing such great work!
