Here's what I would do. But I am no mechanic. Get your engine hot, turn it off, put in 4th gear, pull chassis until you reach TDC #1 or #6(tp stuffed in spark plug hole will POP on compression of said cylinder). Do your adjustment on #1&#6 valve sets.

Put tranny back in nuetral:D Start engine and get it hot again, now use your feelers while the engine is running. Some folks swear by Go/No Go feelers for this. I used my phone to video as I called out what valve I was on and whether is was loose, tight or ok. You may need to tweek a few valves so shut engine off and adjust again.

I had some valves that would accept the .008 and .014 feeler while running but were just tight enough to smash the feeler. I'd like to figure out some day if slight smashing is ok. I'm guessing it's a sign of slightly tight. Plus I can't see Toyota recommending a method that f's up feelers.

anyone know what this port is for to the right of the fuel pressure sender?

Looks like an oil port for pressure sender unit. Nice job on the engine!!

I was looking at the 1/8" plug in between the oil sender and the coolant drain.
