extended sway bar links

well, even though i can't weld for crap, i decided that with the soa, i needed to extend the sway bar and today was the day.

got some 1/2" rod stock from the hardware store, cut the ends off the old links and rewelded them to the stock.

this is exactly what I need to do.
Questions maybe you can answer...

How did you decide on the total length?

Did you just add 5 inches to the old length?

When all bolted up was there tension on sway bar?

Did you notice much difference in the turns?

Any plans to do the front?

vehicle isn't running, so i don't have a clue about handling. there wasn't much more tension than the stock arms created before i soa'd it. length was determined by matching the approximate angle before soa to the approximate angle post soa. no front sway bar on a piggie
