on the road again....
I'm wondering what peoples experience has been with a resonator on these 5.7's we have or other engines. Some vehicles get more power and gas mileage I hear and some just get a resonator for the sound.
Has anyone noticed a power and fuel change...or just a badazz sound change.

Zero audible change, my perception. It weighs about 15-20 lbs. I've had mine off for a few years with nothing bad to report. If you cut it off then cut just after the stock hanger, leave the hanger enact, no benefit to messing around with that. have a new tail pipe welded on and tuck it up a bit outta sight. Wait till you get a bumper though. As far as fuel mileage I cannot comment.

Ditto on WillyB's comments. Cut mine off years ago and noticed no change at all.

@TonyP already has steel bumpers. No difference since I deleted the resonator.

Mine is only on because I haven't gotten around to cutting it off.

Curious why it's there to begin with, since as others have said...no significant difference.

Good question. Toyota deems it offers a benifit. I think it just looks wonky once you have a higher clearance bumper.
