You guys are great.
No don't need the odd shaped manifold flange just the coupler flange, one found down near the muffler/cat.
Want to make some of those.
I'm sure a lot of Mud heads such as myself would love a few. That three point flange you have would be great if it had the 3.8 wide center recess at 1-2mm deep for the Toyota donut gasket and the 3.25" from hole center to hole center.
I have a date tomorrow with a machinist that may or may not make what I need.
I have several other options, one just go straight pipe, or get some flat gasket flanges and gaskets that always seem to leak exhaust eventually.
I like the Toyota flange/gasket as it will last seal good. Mine lasted 36 years, not bad.
Thanks

Not in bad shape, that is the manifold pipe correct? Hang onto that they are getting hard to find also. That could be a $250 part, why read on.
So today I went and put in a few requests for flanges to be made (4) at five shops in the next town over. The only call I got back so far was from the first place I went on my quest, for four (4) flanges to be made was $900, yes $900, this was to set up the C and C machine and shop time to make them plus the steel. I can have a complete new exhaust system for that plus headers. Can't wait to hear from the others. Wow.

Hairy-apple
on your web site says you can do different size's flanges, what would be your cost for my needs?

Yes its the manifold pipe, $250??? Its yours for way less if your interested.

Rusty 72, am interested, what are the dimensions, not sure if it takes the same gasket as the coupler flanges. Although it looks the same.
Thanks
Just got 2 more quotes on having flanges made, one is for $290 for 4 made, and one is for $160 for 4 without the recess as they can not make the recessed area for the gasket on flange. I have two more I am waiting for but so far its obvious that to have something as basic as a flange to be made cost wise is beyond words.

I own a CNC shop in AZ. If you have something you can send me I'll make some for you reasonably priced.

I am in Peoria and have a very clean 60 series flange that matches the one needed. Unfortunately it is at my second home and would be next month at the earliest I could retrieve it.

Come to think of it I do have a 60 series CAT I am thinking of using with a 3FE in a 40 series here in town. Don't want the flange cut off but should be able to get the dimensions needed from it.

Im out in Chandler, happy to help when you're around

PM sent 65cruiser

Took a wire brush to the flange. Looks real solid. All holes measure the same distance.

Dang rusty 72, that looks to good for me to cut up, some 60 owner maybe in need. Looks like what I need but I get a measurement of 3.25 from center hole to center hole.
PM me with what you have in mind when you can. Thanks

Hey all, think I got this all worked out, thanks to some folks here on Mud will have a few flanges made to spec to replace the worn out originals. If you think you maybe interested in some I will post contact information later on in a few weeks with their permission. This is a big plus to you folks like me that want to keep the stock muffler coupler flange (not exhaust manifold) to use with the stock gasket that seem to work better than a flat style gasket.
Cheers

The flange ship has landed, and you are going to like what you see.
Received my four flanges for my 82 FJ45 that I plane on replacing the muffler and the old and unusable coupler flanges with new Toyota gaskets as seen in the pictures.
I am not the type to put crappie aftermarket parts on any project if I can help it , just common sense so when I stated with this post I was looking all over for a Toyota flange replacement, and frankly there are none until now. So for all you owner that plan on a rebuild, repair of a 40/45/60( and maybe others) exhaust system with 2" OD pipe, here you go.
A fellow Mud gentleman chimed into this post and offered to make what I needed for my project, and honestly was a bit leery about aftermarket parts, but Eric proved me wrong, you can get good parts from the right place. Eric owns and runs a machining shop in Chandler Arizona, by the name of Midland Precision Machining. CNC turning &milling, gages, tooling, and instruments. Now I am going to let Eric if he will put his information on the flanges and cost as that is his business, I am just the happy customer.
The following pictures are of the flange's that he made from an original Toyota flange I sent him. A work of art.

Those are sexy.

:beer:Part 3

As you can see you cant beat that flange weld platform to weld on, most aftermarket flanges are way to thin and make warp. When the stock Toyota style gasket is in place as seen it will seal nicely as the original flanges did. This is one reason I wanted the original style.
Eric and his people did a fine job on flange and I believe he has a few more if some of you folks who have shops or owners in need.
Again I'm just the middle man here so maybe Eric when he is able will chime in with what he wasn't s to say.
I'm sure these will last another 36 years or longer.
Cheers guys :beer::beer::cheers:

Sexy well okay. Work of art yeah!

Hey Daryl, nothing better than a happy customer!
For those of you who are interested in the flanges we ran a batch of around 25 or so, price is $10 ea. plus the ride. Shoot me a pm and we'll get the parts on the way. We have this part in our cad system now and programmed for our machines so if more are needed down the road it is pretty easy to make more.
