Cool, fun little trucks to drive around in! Been driving a little stock 4runner that I got up and running.

White Trash of the Elwood Chapter, TORC4x4.org, Cottonland Cruisers.
 
Denso alternator from rockauto this am. My boy is officially old enough that he is actually helpful. Install went quickly and the charge light is out.

Cold start injector is on the way, also from rockauto.

Still leaning toward putting it for sale and getting a 40. Barry's luck selling his has me a bit discouraged though.

not sure what to make of that. they kept getting snatched out from under me when i was looking. now i can't get back what i paid for it. wait till deer season is what i'm told.

I'd love to own this ride. But I'd also love to won a 40 as well!
Hell, I'd love to own that denso alternator for Lorena right now!
 
I think that if you cleaned either one of them up and hire Nolen (bottle of wine) to take good photos they would sell in a matter of min.

Just put on eBay with a BIN number (high) that you are looking for and not an auction....let people offer you what they want and you can turn them down.

I dicked around with the boards and auctions and did that and it was gone in a matter of days.

Just an idea.

i did this with my own photos and got 2 bids from the same guy. my reserve (original price was never reached) maybe the no ac and manifold issues hurt it.

What's it doing? Just not starting when cold?

Is CEL on? If so, have you jumpered to check codes?

Check the tube between AFM and throttle body to make sure no cracks. Then check AFM to make sure it's good. My cold start issues were fixed by a AFM... along with some pump wiring issues. My fault on the wiring.

I've had good luck with a bottle or two of HEET in the tank if it's not driven regularly.
 
CEL comes on radomly but it seems to be only when the truck is hot, running down the interstate.

I'll check that tube, that was an issue on my 3FE. AFM too.

Issue is mainly cold start, but recently seems to have trouble starting when warm as well. Once it's running it's good to go. Seems to help when I pat the gas 3-4 times then hold it down to the floor.

I doubt it's a TPS issue.

Does this truck have a FPR?

Looks broke! JB weld that sucka back on with a bolt through the threads holding it down till it sets up so the threads still line up.
