@JZelnick it looks like you have a 16+TLC. How do the ventilated seats work with the covers on?

I have a 2009, glad you think it looks so modern

Others with cooled seats have mentioned that they still work, but the effect is less pronounced. Heat seats still work the same, just takes a minute longer to come through the covers.

$250 + $90 shipping. Luckily had a set they had in the warehouse so I did not have to wait for them to be made in South Africa. Just a shame that that the shipping is so high.

That's not that bad at all for a base price.

Though, I agree, $90 is ridiculous. They're overcharging on shipping to passively raise the price on the product. I'm sure if you turned around and mailed them back to Equipt, it would be over half that.

I've worked in shops with UPS/FEDEX business accounts and it is very affordable - much less than retail shipping costs.

So, is there something wrong with them making a profit? I've worked with overseas suppliers for several weeks and still didn't get what I wanted due to the back and forth. I emailed Escape Gear and had what I wanted ordered within days. Seems to me that the service is worth the price. If it isn't worth the price to you, you have the option to not get these seat covers... even though they are the best... and a pain to order on your own.

Equipt mentioned that the $90 shipping includes their costs to get the product here. I’m sure shipping from SA and assorted customs and fees add up. I compared this to the shipping cost direct from Escape Gear to me and it was very close.

I priced them out on Escape Gear's website (very user friendly) a few months back and could get a whole set shipped for the price of just the fronts via Equipt's price at that time - though I'm glad to hear the price has come down. With that being said, I will probably go the Equipt route.

I have nothing against them making a profit, calm down guy.

See above post.

I have them on my 16+ LC and I can confirm that seat cool air flows thru normally and when seats are heated you feel it in few seconds.

It could be that shipping is high simply because they are shipping directly from **Africa** where they are made.

I recently ordered my dash cover directly from Escape Gear...and it turns out they don’t manufacture them until they are ordered.

The cover itself was only like $55...and shipping was nearly that much...but again...from Africa...to my doorstep.

Perhaps Equipt is “drop-shipping” them...directly from the manufacturer as well.

When I purchased mine I also paid more for shipping as it shipped from South Africa.

@JZelnick what made you go with the cotton vs. the Tuff Canvas? I want to order a set for my 2016, and can't seem to find any info or pics on the tuff canvas ones. Black interior, so the charcoal or gray would both work.

Thanks!

I am about to order a set as well. Glad to see this.

@fireball I went with the cotton following Cole's comment on the first page. They are softer, more breathable, and are still extremely durable. Very happy with my choice and the gray cloth has made me much happier with the interior vs. the gray leather. Gray leather will always look cheap to me. In a few weeks, I'll be picking up another set in tan for my new 80 series.

Just following up on this thread that I started. Finally got my Escape Gear covers in my truck. After deciding on the grey cotton canvas covers I took @indycole ’s advice and reached out to Equipt. It seems that they have brought their prices (but not shipping, $90 just for front row ouch!) on Escape Gear seat covers back down to reality. A few months ago I was seeing a $100+ delta between the Escape Gear website and Equipt. They are now the same. Kristin at Equipt was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to my next purchase with them.

A note on the covers themselves. These are the Rolls Royce of Seat Covers and your 200 series deserves nothing less. Fit and finish are excellent and they were much easier to put on then others have noted. I feel much more comfortable getting in an out of my truck without worrying if a zipper, leatherman, etc is going to catch on my seats and tear them. Additionally, the seats are cooler compared to the leather and much easier to clean. I would highly recommend these to every 200 series owner and believe it should be of the first “mods” anyone does.

Give us an update after a years use! Pics too. Do you think the Khaki would look good over a black interior?

I'm leaning to these covers. Do these have map pockets on the back? I see that they have side pockets which would be nice. I am on the fence between these and Marathon (which can be ordered with ample pockets).

Stupid Q.......but these are compatible with the side airbags, right?

@JZelnick - Tell me about the center console cover. Where'd you get it and how does it attach? In my experience, center console leather wears out a lot faster than seats, and covering is a great idea.

I have the Escape Gear console cover on my '14 LX and it is great. It is listed for the LC but I took a chance and it fits perfectly. My dog stand in the back and has his front paws on the console and the cover is doing its' job. Elastic straps and a perfect fit.
