Looking for a good place to have my 2F (1979 fj40) engine rebuilt. I have some body work that needs to be done as well. Need the driver rocker panel and kick vent panel replaced. If if could get it to ACC or Urban I would take ot there but need something closer.

John Holt at Hot Wheels on the north marietta loop. he is slow but honest has done some work for Hendog also, maybe he can chime in. i worked there in collage 15 years ago.

I have been told that Goza brothers machine shop in Acworth are exceptional engine rebuilders. This is their reputation; I don't have first hand knowledge or experience with their shop, so do your research and let the data guide you. Good luck

Goza rebuilt my datsun 2000 roadster 20 years ago. He is not cheap but he is the best in marietta.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I feel ok driving it 10 or so miles max. It is not leaking or anything but it dies if you are not working the gas and choke to keep it going. I am sure it has a vacume leak and the carb needs tweaking. I don't have room in my garage to pull it appart. I dont have a welder to do the body work either.

For the machine work goza no question, but acc is the best land cruiser place in the Atlanta area. Tom Craig in east cobb works on my 80 when I do not have time with a job, wife, two kids in soccer, swimming, and dancing. .. Craig ' s automotive is honest, and in marietta.

bhcarman, please post up results of what you find on the body work part of this I am in the same situation with my 79.

I trust ACC for any work I can't do, top notch guys.

Thanks,
Ryan
