Engine rattle?

I’ve noticed a rattle or loud clicking lately that seems to persist even after the truck is warm. Sounds like maybe a loose skid plate or heat shield. Haven’t popped the hood yet - plan to take a closer look this weekend.

But grabbed a quick video this morning. Anyone heard this before?

Yeah - after searching around a bit, that definitely seems likely. I let it warm up and popped the hood but of course it’s not doing it now...

If it silences with heat it's either a cracked manifold or a failed gasket.

The weird part is now it is t doing it at all...cold or warm. I drove around a bit, pulled back into the garage and nada. Sounds fine...

did you ever figure this out? I have the same sound.

I did have a similar issue; bad vibration at low revs but only when the engine is hot. This may not work for you but it was solved by the dealership eventually when they found the inter cooler pipe clips had become brittle and the pipes were vibrating. If you want to check parts id attached.
