Have a slight oil leak on 2008 lx570, probably add a quart every 3,000 miles. No drips on driveway but it’s definitely dripping on skid plates. All diff fluids changed recently and it looks like front main seal and both valve cover gaskets/ cam towers seeping. 245,000 miles, runs good, inclined to try some liquimoly or something like it. Yeah or nay?

No.

Generally the way these things work is by causing rubber parts to expand in size.. the problem is this reduces their density, and therefore their stiffness. Basically all those rubber parts even the ones not leaking yet) will wear out faster.

Of the sources you cited the front main seal is the easiest but still a decent job. You can get a lot of mileage out of regular degreasing and monitoring.

Exactly what my brother in law ( engineer/ former diesel mechanic) told me. I will continue to monitor, thanks for the advice

@Charles63 Have you checked your pcv valve for being stuck?
I bought my first 2011 lx from a guy who paid $1300.00 to replace a $10.00 main seal 2 months earlier and sold the truck to me.
A month later I noticed the same thing - the main was leaking... long story short after The pcv valve replacement it stopped.
It is worth to take a look if you have not.

@Charles63 solid start here. Also, please don't add anything to your engine oil that's not included by the oil manufacturers already. My $0.02.

I did replace the pcv valve about a year ago. It didn’t rattle at all and I am sure it was original ( I had to break a little foam to remove it). My mpg went from 13 to 13, and my oil consumption seems the same. Thanks for the tip though.
