So starting two weeks ago i started experiencing a no start issue after driving the vehicle with no issues for 5+ years. Vehicle would crank but not start. Had no CEL light so I started with the fusible links which passed the continuity test. Tested the EFI Main relay and it passed. Then i noticed the EFI fuse was really loose. So i squeezed the female end tighter and replaced the 15amp fuse with a new one and I had my CEL light back and was able to start the vehicle.

The car is not my daily so I just moved the car to a different parking spot and left it all week till this weekend when i needed to move it again. Go to start the car and nothing. No power at all. Batter is showing 12.7 volts but with the key in the on position no dash lights come on, no starter click nothing. The door locks don't work, however i noticed with the key out the door locks will make a slight buzz sound when you try to use them. With the key in the ON position it makes no noise.

Now, sometimes if i keep trying and turning the key multiple times I'll get dash lights back on and CEL is on but when I turn the key all the way to start all power just goes off again.

I checked all battery cables and grounds. Doesn't mater if vehicle is in park or N.

I am thinking ignition switch. Does this sound like the most likely cause to everyone else?

Its currently raining the next few days so figured i would post here to see peoples thoughts before i get a chance to go back out and start testing the links and fuses and switches.

You've probably already done this, but if you haven't, pull the alarm system. I'd do that before going any deeper. Our 80 was pulling the same shenanigans... when I pulled the alarm it started every time... until the next thing popped up... lol.

I completely removed my alarms years ago.

So there was a break in the rain and i went outside to take a look. I first tried to start it. I had power and CEL in the on position but same thing, as soon as i turned the key to start it completely died with no crank or starter click.

I started to take the FL off so i could test them for continuity again and in doing so noticed the positive terminal moved as if it was loose. The terminal itself is tightened down as far as it can go but I was able to twist it off the battery post. I replaced the terminal with a new one that that fits tighter that i cant move and so far it has started each time.

So hopefully it was just a loose terminal.
