Hi all
I have recently purchased a 1989 fj62. It is 12v, and has electric door mirrors. The passenger mirror was missing, however the person who I bought the car from found one in his shed. He is unsure if it is off the 12v car he sold me or from a 24v car that he has heaps of spare parts for...
Is there an easy way of telling if it is 24v or 12v - without pulling the whole thing apart (most fixings look rusted / seized....)?
It has Murakami 1881 on the bottom of it if this helps?

Thanks!

Drew

First off your name. Are you holding a silver edition and if so, can you please post photos of it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Not any more... When I first signed up to Mud over 10 years back I owned a 1982 Hj60 Silver Edition (2H / 5 Speed). I now have a 1988 hj61 (12ht / 5 speed), and a 1989 Fj62 (3F /5 speed) - the one I need the mirror for...

So, I have just had a look at my drivers door mirror - it has Murakami 1145 moulded into it….
Any idea of the differences / 12v or 24v / vehicles originally fitted to??? Etc… there seems to be a very slight difference in the shape and size of the chrome part, and the 1181 has glass that makes things appear further apart….
