What's going on Tucker?
HOLD ON THERE! WHAT? ME GIVING UP? NO WAY BRO!!
Just paid my fee for SEMA and I'm thinking that there might be a small window of opportunity for some sort of business here. Just thinking though.

Yes on the frame. I'm still looking for a 60 series rolling chassis as well as a long bed. I have a list of parts that am currently looking for and I need to post it up soon.

Kief, I will be measuring the inside of the cab tomorrow and posting up #'s then. I believe that there is around 8 to 10" of leg space than what is currently out there on the other 45-4 doors. This will give me more options to look at for rear seats. Right now I'm leaning towards Montero seats for the rear and still undecided for the front.

A stock 45 has just enough room in the RT versions. A little more would be nice- that would put the drivers seat in some one's lap if the seats were thick or bulky.

Your probably right Kief. The placement of the front seat will depend on the drive train that I go with. I think that what ever seats I go with I will have plenty of leg room for both front and rear seats.

IIRC Ready has kinda short legs so seat placement for leg room shouldn't be much of a issue.................:D

Well, I have been looking for a rolling frame for a couple of weeks and I finally found one!
Thanks to green grass hopper, I have just acquired a '84 fj60 complete rolling chassis- front and rear axles- power steering and rust free w/title!

We will be back on the cruiser tomorrow along with some good pics.

Looking forward to those pics..

Hope this project hasn't died..... ..... long time no hear....

Ready picked-up his bed project Friday.... anxious to see the forthcoming..........:wrench:

Long dry spell between up-dates...........

What's going on MUD friends?
I know-it's been awhile, I've been real busy getting my (new to me) shop up and running. Jack, the owner of Vintage Air leased their old shop to me and I'm pretty stoked about the whole situation. If there is anyone out there that would be willing to part with their fj40 for a few months please let me know. It would be for a very worthy cause for the entire FJ40 community.

Between me, Frank and Justin-we will get back to El Conquistador in a week or two. Thanks to Edwin and Tucker for getting me a complete chassis and to Grant and Dan for getting me the original bed that went with the cab. If anyone would like to stop by the shop and take a look at El Conquistador just shoot me a pm. Anyone and everyone is welcomed.
