EGR block off plates

i am going to get a egr block off plate made up for the wifes 2 X LJ78s. is anyone else interested in these?

i just off the phone with the lazer place and these are water jet cut out of 3/8 mild steel. 2 pieces are $30 for the pair.

Will these fit the EGR on FJ40's specifically a '76?

i have no idea, we never got the egr system in canada on the FJ40 series. these fit the LJ series surf, prado hilux units...

technically the hilux and surf are not LJ series but LN series

For people that haven't installed a pyrometer yet, might want to think about getting a 1/8NPT threaded hole put in the exhuast manifold blanking plate. Makes for an easy and clean pyrometer probe install without any drilling into any factory parts.

Are most pyrometer's 1/8NPT thread ?

If I welded a socket onto the top of the exaust pipe ( just below the flange) this would be approx 150mm from the Turbo, would this be to far from the head to get a good EGR temp reading.

the plates are done and at the powder coaters for the ceramic coating. should be back next week.
