TRD Pro has real off-road suspension and other useful goodies.

LC HE has spectacular rims with a useless basket............
True, but that was not my point. My point focused on future resale value. HEs will hold much more value (especially if stock - basket or no basket), same as the PROs. It is really up to the OP and his plans. Mine pointed to the HE and, yes, I still rock the basket (for now).

8 month update of sorts:
Only mods so far are wheels and tires. 5x TRD Pro BBS wheels and 5x Cooper AT3 XLT 275/70R18s.
Put about 15k miles on so far, just did my third oil change (switch between 0w-20 and 5w-30 depending on the weather). Installed a Fumoto, hoping that cleans oil changes up.

Just ordered a Viofo A329 Dashcam, Dongar adapter, and Bracketeer extinguisher mount. Had a Viofo in my last car, worked great. Also had a Bracketeer in my last ride. I saw the Desert does it MMP mount but the Bracketeer allows me to use the front seat bolt covers. And it’s half the price.
Will pick up an extinguisher at the local race place.

Have a few trips planned, one going up 395 and hitting a bunch of trails. Will end up in Reno, might go out to Fallon, check out the tanks in Dixie Valley, get a burger at Middlegate Station.

Also picking up some car camping gear from a buddy, a Nemo roamer pad and jazz sleeping bag, hoping to test those out when I head to buttonwillow for SVRA in March.

Up next are sliders (I don’t want to install them but I don’t want anyone else to either so I guess it’s on me haha) and maybe a slight lift but to be honest I’m so happy with the stock suspension I’m putting it off as long as possible.

You can get 3/4” of lift with some 3/8” Toyota front coil spring spacers and some OME 20mm rear trim packers. If you’re otherwise happy with the ride, do that and call it a day.

Installed the Bracketeer and mounted an H3R 2.5 lb Halotron Bottle on the passenger side. The bracket does limit forward travel but that’s because of the design of the plastic “skirt” on the front of the seat that protects all the electronics and what not. Looking at the desert does it MMP bracket as well as other options I feel this would be an issue with every bracket, and I don’t feel like hacking up the seat so we’ll see how the princess deals with it.
The bracket itself is solid, no rattles or creaks, and the extinguisher is a great piece of hardware. I opted for halotron instead of chemical just due to cleanup. It was way more expensive but a 10% coupon helped and H3R staff was very helpful over the phone.

I also installed the Viofo A329 dash cam along with the Dongar 10 Pin Type B adapter. This harness basically goes inline to the rear view mirror and taps in. Took 30 seconds to install, about 10 minutes to convince everything back under the cover and it is good to go. I was worried about mounting it on the driver’s side (the rain sensor blocks the pass side) but it’s behind the mirror and stays out of the drivers field of view.
I’ve had good luck with Viofo products before so we’ll see how well this one holds up.

I love those wheels. It looks really clean. Kind of wish mine looked more stock, and I'd keep the stock suspension if I were you. My stock drove so much better than my Bilstein/heavy spring setup now. I was just scraping the bumpers with the added weight lol.

Only down side is black wheels photograph terribly. But who cares.
My other Asian rich guy man crush on IG has Innov8 racing wheels on his HE, I really dig those.
