If you're going to use the winch at all, you may want to use a modern hook and cable. There's really no need for the chain. I run a 3/8 EIP steel winch cable on mine with matched hook and use a tree saver. Curious what a hook and chain is worth to you?

Chain and hook are oem correct! I have sold a couple a few years ago for $150

I agree that modern hook and cable would be easier to get and better to use, but I suffer from OEM Madness. It’s a rare condition where a person tries to get there Land Cruiser back to original condition, just like the day when it was unloaded from the ship from Japan.
I have an early Cruiser that’s missing those parts, I would use the winch if I needed to but just trying to get it back to stock as possible.
Not sure what they are worth, there has been a hook on Ebay for a couple of years at $500, that’s too much for me. I like the price that Whitey has sold some in the past at $150.

By 'a couple of years ago' Brian means 2018. And by $150 he means $250. At least for one of them. Don't ask me how I know.
