I really like the taco and the 4runners that mr t is putting out. They seem to offer most of what we want (capability, rugged and distinctive styling with some historical nods). The 200 has the features and creature comforts, but costs a kidney and has the styling of a diabetic walking shoe. Classic cruisers rule the day and always will for me, but those of us who may be in the market for a new whip (and aren't named rockefeller) these seem worthy candidates.

Drove this off the lot yesterday.

This will be the new company ride until I can turn it over to Berkley in 22 months.

The car reimbursement game is best played with

A) cheap cars
B) something that you can keep and won't be scary over 100,000 miles

The TOYOTA on the grill sealed the deal.

Glad gas is cheap.

Can't hide money...

So, this thing cost a lot and you pay close to sticker even if the Regional Director of the dealer chain gives you a deal.

The killer is all the Gulf States bull**** they add. $3000 of meh. Some cool. Some useless.

Sliding cargo deck $350 is cool. Drawer slide/tailgate

Tote. Boo
Emergency kit. Boo
Cargo cover. Boo Hiss.
First aid. Meh.

$185 crossbars. Joke but I can use SpaceCase if needed. Still. Wtf.

Paint film. $395. What the hell is that? I laugh.

$200 mats. Ok. Fine.

$500 remote starter. Gag me.

$99 OEM tablet holder. Really? Headrest for iPad. Dumb.

$99 chrome tip. Dumber.

$60 hitch. Ugh.

$79 door edge guard. It's $4 of weather strip.

$149 cargo divider. This is the funniest of all. Clown show.

Damn, your daughter is going to be the coolest 16yr old around!!

You'll enjoy the remote start in Summer and Cold months..

That thing is 4wd isn't? Don't see any badging anywhere on it.

I'm kinda surprised it has a chrome tip with all trouble spent to black everything else out. Can't wait to see it.

I wondered the same thing. SURELY TRD wouldn't produce a 2wd version, right?.........I did a little research, and if I looked in the right places, the Pro "trifecta" (Tundra, Tacoma, and 4Runner) are all 4x4.

Sure it is. Has all the cool crawl control stuff. Rear locker. KDSS. Lifted 1.5" over stock. TRD remote res shocks.
I figured you'd have wanted to avoid the heat you would have taken by buying a 2WD.

By the way, how's the ride? Reports say it rides great due to the "compliant" off-road springs/shocks
