So now that it looks like Tisa is going to choose the TRD Pro as her next vechile if anyone finds anything about them please post here.
Concerns I have are:
The pleather that Toyota is using.
Suspension...OE
If it weren't for the color then I would go TE and add leather (cheap for me) and go with an Icon small lift and run a different wheel and tire combo.
I am going to put my eyes on one in Rockwall tomorrow.

So I've also been thinking about a 4 runner as my next ride so I can pass it to Berkley in 2 years.
My thoughts.
Save the $$ on all the gizmos and just get a SR5 and add stuff you like to it.
Is that stuff worth $12,000 if it's not going to be my trail truck? Ever?

I was thinking the same thing.
My thoughts are is we go out west and Tisa wants to drive her rig then we could. I think with all the crawl and rear locker and ATRAC with 32/33s it would do anything I would want to with her rig.
The color is sweet also. Just on Pro's and she wants a rig that she likes not me steering her into it. We went and looked at a 05 LX and 05 GX then 2012 LX and 15 GX and still liked 4Runner due to what it has to offer and price point.
I actually like the front bumper and Southern Style Speed has that killer light bar winch mount. 2014+ 4Runner Slimline Hybrid front bumper - Front Bumpers - Southern Style Products
If they offered a TRD supercharger then I would go base Trail, blower, and then add Icon, leather, and wheels and tires. But not offered.

Wouldn't every model have ATRAC? I'm thinking as good as it works on Andy's 06 Cruiser they probably got it right right by 2016

Interested in this discussion as well. We've been looking at 5th gens and 460s lately too.
I love my 13 SR5. I looked at the Trails but they were hard to find and I didn't see spending that extra money, although I liked the hood scoop. Mine has ATRAC and DAC, just no crawl control or locker. For $12k you can put in a locker...and a lift. The TRD Pro may be worth the difference due to the special color. I don't know enough about the difference betwee that and trail.
It has plenty of cargo room. It is bigger than previous generations and doesn't feel as bloated as a 200.
The only down side I have seen is lack of aftermarket bumpers. Most are hideous.

Agree about the skid plate. If the ARB stuck out a few inches less it would I would have gotten one. I wish I could see one in real life. I like the low profile winch ones from SSS but they are only 14 and up.
There is a guy here in Nashville with one. Not real life, but I can see if I can get some pictures of you'd like.
Don't go out of your way but if you are around it I would like some profile shots and any others.
I will see what I can come up with for you.
My wife's 2011 4R was nice. My only negative was it was narrow. We were almost shoulder to shoulder up front. Ride was so so. Other then that was an impressive truck. No experience with off road performance.
