It clips onto the tube that runs across the back of the seat frame when the seat is in the upright positionNice. Out of curiosity, what is the bracket used for. It looks like a jack handle bracket?
Are you asking or telling?Since the driver's seat didn't have the clip this is for passenger side on the FJ40 64-67 models?
Thank you. I was looking for clarification because your precious post had a “?” At the end.Was just adding to what Mark said and clarifying what these work on. May have come off of a 70 but was not originally on a 70 model. I've had my 9/67 68 model since 7/74. While it has bucket seats out of 74 FJ40 now it originally had the stock seats that are the same as my 10/69 70 model. Those both seats the back lock in the upright position. Handle to release is a T shaped black plastic handle. Without pulling the handle out the back does not move. The earlier style a little pressure and the passenger side just folds down.
Look at you. A regular Sherlock. Thank you.71265-60010 Spring, passenger seat hinge stopper. Long discontinued.
