I was cleaning the cruiser today and when cleaning the door jamb I was reminded that my cruiser was built in 5/90. 19 years ago this month!

So I was wondering who had the oldest 80 series on MUD. Post up your build #.

Tech content: Build # is located on dash plaque, drivers door jamb, and passenger side frame rail behind passenger side front tire.

My build # 6491.

There has been mention of an 80 with a build date of 2/90... Can't remember when, but I remember seeing it.

My 80 was built in 2/90 with the frame number somewhere in the 400's, IIRC.

[Edit] It's 433 [/Edit]

5/91 for me.

Finaly, a contest that the 3fe power can come in first at. Besides being slow.

3/91 for mine. Frame number is somewhere in the 20,000's.

:D

Drivers side frame rail for some of us with no dash plaque or door jamb info:

Should not (have) disclose(d) my number???

Just wonderin'.

02/91 Mine is new

Mot, Looks like you have the honor of earliest 80 series.

I think jasonmt's number was higher than yours so no need to be specific.

Can anyone beat a 433?

Not to derail the original post, but just took a closer look at my doorjamb: 10/97.

GOTCHA!

It's not over till that lady in "England (Or was it Britain?" Got Talent" sings. :hillbilly:

I'll have to look at mine tomorrow... I know it's a contender tho.

FWIW, Toyota EPC shows that the 80 series was manufactured through/until Jan. of '98.

not sure about the earliest but I have a 97 that was built on 9/97. I'm thinking it was one of the last ones to come in. No running boards, roof rack or rear air foil.

Diff locks too I assume....that sir, is my White Whale.
